A Right to Protest .... A Right to Speak
A Right to Protest
... A Right to Speak
We support the right of any person and any group of people to
organize, for any reason, a work stoppage, boycott,
or strike. It should be generally understood that
the right not to work is or make purchases are
fundamentally guaranteed by the 13th amendment of
the US Constitution and such rights do not require
any form of permission from an employer or anyone
otherwise.
Furthermore, we urge for calm and orderly
responses from all communities and moderate responses
by any and all law enforcement agencies to any
actions or activities. It is critical that all
sides observe and respect the fundimental rights
provided to all under the US Constitution.
It is especially critical to extend basic
rights to any persons or groups of people who
equally enjoy the rights of freedom of speech and
the right to peaceably assemble ... regardless of
their citizenship or immigration status.
We believe these rights are clearly guaranteed by
the US Constitution and extended to all present in
our country who, for whatever purpose, including to
seek redress of their grievances against the
government, seek to assemble peacefully to express
their ideas and concerns.
However, it is also the universal right of all
children to enjoy undisturbed education. This
universal right should not be interfered with or
manipulated by any person or group of people, nor by
the government, to respond to or react to unrelated
political change.
So long the actions being planned for March 24th,
2006 do not involve a call by anyone, for the
prevention of children to attend, or the removal of
children from, their educational institutions at
which they are enrolled and to which they have
guaranteed universal right to attend,
And so long as the gatherings and actions
occurring abide by the guidance of and demands by
law enforcement officers whose duty it is to
preserve the peace,
And so long that there is no call of any kind for
the use of or incitement of prohibited and
unprotected speech or any form of violence against
any person or property,
We, under above conditions,
support all those people who certainly have every
right to organize, peacefully assemble, and to
freely express their ideas and concerns regarding
any matter at
events that are to occur on or commence starting
with March 24th, 2006.
